Documentary filmmaker Nahid Persson follows Iranian journalist and activist Masih Alinehad who, exiled in the United States, has become the voice of millions of women in her country. Through social media, Masih leads one of the largest civil disobedience actions in Iran today, calling for action against the compulsory use of the hijab. Persson also portrays the violence and multiple threats to which the activist is subjected, her family being one of the victims of this oppression exerted by the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
