SYNOPSIS

The camera follows Meliha, a Bosnian Muslim; Nevenka, a Bosnian of Croatian origin; and Milica, a Bosnian of Serbian origin. All three, besides being survivors of the Bosnian war, share the same tragedy: they were tortured and raped as a strategy of ethnic cleansing and, 25 years after the conflict, they are still fighting for justice. Many of them have had to see how their attackers, despite having gone through the courts, were soon released. Likewise, we access the story of Lejla, Ajna and Alen, three “forgotten children of the war” who were abandoned and who suffer the stigma of having been a result of the rapes suffered by their mothers during the conflict. They are the second generation fighting against oblivion and indifference, facing figures such as Dusko Tadic, the first criminal convicted for war crimes and crimes against humanity at the Hague tribunal, who continues to deny the evidence of that barbarism that happened right next door to us.
