Ismet has recently retired as commander of the Turkish-Greek border guard. His family life is also marked by his sense of order, which has caused his only son to leave for the United States, and his wife planning to follow him. The human experience of living with a couple of clandestine Syrian immigrants (Omar and Mariye) confronts him with his prejudices and convictions.
