Synopsis

Panzi Hospital was founded by Denis Mukwege, a Congolese gynecologist, to physically and psychologically help the women of the zone, who were gang raped by local guerillas.

Néstor López and Carlos Valle are directors and producers known for their audiovisual works such as “Ellos”, “Mamá”, “Nacer” and “Anticlímax”, with which they have won awards such as Best Drama at NY Shorts, Best Short at Sitges, and the Goya for Best Documentary Short in 2022, as well as a Goya nomination for Best Short. Together they have directed and produced Semillas de Kivu, a documentary subsidized by the ICAA and winner of the Amnesty International – Abycine 2021 Award.
