Synopsis

In the struggle to regain their traditional territories in Mato Grosso do Sul, the indigenous Kaiowa and Guarani peoples are victims of violent attacks organized by landowners and police forces.

Pedro Biava is a journalist. He studied documentary and editing at the The International School of Cinema and Television (EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. He was a text editor at the public television of São Paulo (TV Cultura) and the São Paulo correspondent of the Latin American news channel Telesur. He has been working as a documentary filmmaker since 2007 and is currently dedicated to covering the indigenous struggle in the country, and also teaching audiovisual skills to young indigenous people. He is also part of the independent collective Revira-Lata, which has been producing documentaries since 2010.
