This year marks the 50th anniversary of the death of dictator Francisco Franco, and IMPACTE! Festival we want to take advantage of the occasion to dedicate a session, as part of of our Parallel Activities, to reflect on the crimes against humanity committed during the dictatorship that, with the arrival of democracy, went unpunished with laws contrary to the right to memory and justice and how we can try to prevail these rights in the present day.
It is for this reason that we propose the screening of the film “Lesa humanidad“, which, through the explanation of the crimes committed in Argentina and Spain during the last century and the legal strategies promoted from the Argentine community, explores the need and appropriateness of betting on paradigms such as universal justice.
